This project is something as crazy as a sort-of label giving away its music for free. Yes, you heard it: Free.

Why? Because by giving the music away for free we can reach a bigger audience instead of charging money for it. It’s actually that simple.

Also, all of our music is licensed under a Attribution 3.0 Unported Creative Commons license. This means that you can use the music in your own works (sampling) or create compilations using the music. We don’t care, we just demand that you link to or mention the url “http://openmode.net/music” - that’s all.

We’re not really in this for the money, we just want our music out to the public.

So you see, we live up to our tagline: “Free music as in… free music”.
